Waste Hauling

Pursuant to Village of Rantoul Ordinance, Ch. 28, waste hauling service is required in the Village of Rantoul and any waste hauling companies wishing to conduct business in Rantoul need to be licensed by the Village of Rantoul to do so.

Single Waste Hauler Contract for Residential pick-up
The Village of Rantoul has entered into a contract with C&S Waste Services (aka Area Waste) for waste collection of all Single-Family Residential units and Multi-Family Units with 4 units or less. These residential units will receive ONE 96-gallon container for garbage per residential unit. Please click on the link below to see the map showing the dates of pick-up for those units. If you should require an additional container, then you will need to contact C&S Waste Services to arrange for that container (see below for contact info).
Also under the contract, recycling is provided for free but the customer needs to contact C&S if they wish to opt-in for this service. This recycling service is a “single stream recycling” which means that you can put all of the listed, acceptable items for recycling into one container. The list for these accepted items will be on the lids of each container. You will receive ONE 96-gallon container specifically for recycling and the recycling pick-up will be the first FULL week and the third week of every month. The recycling container should be placed at the curb along with your garbage container on the days for your normal pick up service only during those two weeks.

• Light bulbs
• Auto and vehicle fluids
• Parts and tires
• Yard waste
