Welcome to the Village of Rantoul Fire Department. The Rantoul Fire Department exists to save the lives of people threatened by fire, entrapment, disaster, or accident, and to curtail the suffering of persons who’s lives or property are exposed to, or likely to be exposed to, similar perils by:
Effective risk management to reduce the occurrence, and effect of these perils; Emergency suppression and control of accidental and destructive fires; Providing for the relocation or rescue of endangered persons; and Providing support functions to the other Village departments.
The Fire Department is comprised of 33
Firefighters including the Fire Chief, an Assistant Fire Chief, three Captains, and 28 Firefighters, operating out of three stations. The Fire Department provides fire suppression, emergency rescue operations, community fire safety education, emergency planning, and disaster support activities.
