The animal must have been in the pound
for a minimum of 7 days before it is available
for adoption. This allows time for lost animals
to be claimed by their original owner. If
the animal was an owner turn-in it is adoptable
immediately. |

2. |
The fee for adoption is $35.00 per animal. |
| |
3. |
A $75.00 deposit is required (per animal)
which is returnable within 30 days from date
of adoption. To receive the $75.00 deposit
refund, verification from veterinarian that
the animal has been spayed or neutered and
that the animal has received its Rabies vaccination
must be brought to the pound office. If a
veterinarian says the animal is too young
to spay or neuter, the adopting person must
return a statement from the veterinarian stating
the animal is too young and that the owner
intends to have the animal spayed or neutered
when said animal is old enough. |

The adopting person must provide his/her
name, address, telephone number and driver's

including the tag number. The number of the
new receipt will be written on the appropriate
line. |
