The Rantoul Recreation Department sponsors many events throughout the year. For information on past, current and future events, please check back often. For more information on the events that are posted, click on the links below:

Recreation Facilities Usage and Rental
The Rantoul Youth Center can be rented for child birthday parties, young teen parties, and more. The Youth Center is located at 1306 Country Club Lane.

The Forum Fitness Center gymnasium can be rented for groups to play basketball and volleyball. The Forum Fitness Center is located at 200 W. Flessner Avenue.

Heritage Lake Pavilion and other parks in Rantoul can be rented for reunions, weddings, and parties.

The Rantoul Recreation Administrative Building can be rented for wedding receptions, reunions, meetings, and more.

The Rantoul Aquatic Center can be rented for pool parties for one and a half hours.

Call the Recreation Department at 893-5700 to make a reservation today.

Monthly Potluck
The Rantoul Recreation Department and the Rantoul Senior Citizens Club will hold its monthly potluck the 2nd Thursday of each month, at the Recreation Building, 100 E. Flessner. Each person should bring a covered dish, salad, or dessert to share and their own table service. All persons 55 and over are invited to attend the party. Phone 893-5700 for a ride.

Senior Runabout
The Rantoul Recreation Department provides transportation for all senior citizens to IGA on Tuesdays, and to Wal-Mart on Thursdays. Seniors may also schedule transportation for other in-town errands by calling 893-5700.

Peace Meal Luncheon
The Community Service Center is the site of the daily Peace Meal luncheon, served at 11:30 a.m. every Monday through Friday for all Rantoul area residents.. Call 892-5506 to sign up for lunch. Home delivery lunches are possible if you are homebound. Weekly activities include transportation to County Market at 1 p.m. on Tuesdays, and transportation to Wal-Mart on Thursdays at 1 p.m. The monthly potluck is held on the second Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at the Recreation Building. The next monthly potluck will be the picnic at Heritage Lake, September 8, 2011, at 11:30 AM. Everything will be provided for the picnic.
