Recreation
Building Usage and Rental
The Recreation Building located
at 100 E. Flessner has a room available
for rent for parties, meetings, etc.
The meeting room offers kitchen facilities.

Monthly
Potluck
The Rantoul Recreation Department
and the Rantoul Senior Citizens Club
will hold its monthly potluck the 2nd
Thursday of each month, at the Recreation
Building, 100 E. Flessner. Each person
should bring a covered dish, salad,
or dessert to share and their own table
service. All persons 55 and over are
invited to attend the party. Phone 893-0461
for a ride. |

"Rantoul Runabout" on Thursday
Afternoons
The Rantoul Recreation Department
provides transportation for all senior
citizens to IGA on Tuesdays, and to
Wal-Mart on Thursdays. Seniors may
also schedule transportation for other
in-town errands by calling 893-0461.

Peace
Meal Luncheon
The Community Service Center is the
site of the daily Peace Meal luncheon
served at 11:30 AM every Monday thru
Friday for Rantoul area residents. The
suggested donation for persons 60 and
over is $3. Suggested donation for those
under 60 is $6. Call Pat at 892-5506
to sign up for lunch. Home delivery
of the lunch is possible if you are
homebound. Weekly activities include
grocery shopping at 1:00 PM on Tuesdays
and WalMart in Rantoul on Thursday at
1:00 PM. Phone 893-0461 for transportation
or further information. |

Junior
High Night at the Youth Center
Friday’s 7 to 10 PM,
October - April. 6th, 7th and 8th grades.
Rantoul, St. Malachy, Gifford, Ludlow,
Thomasboro and Prairieview. Basketball,
Volleyball, music and refreshments.
Youth Center members get in free and
the charge is $5.00 for a non-member.
No bookbags, shoebags or purses will
be allowed in building. |

High
School Night at the Youth Center
The Rantoul Youth Center is
open on Saturday nights from 7:00 –
10:00 pm for all Rantoul High School
students. The admission fee is $3. Activities
include games, sports, music and fun. |

Saturdays
at the Youth Center
The Rantoul Youth Center will
be open on Saturdays from 10 am to 5
pm, October - April. Children must have
a current youth center pass. 2007 Youth
Center Passes are now on sale. Come
to the Recreation Department office
at 100 E. Flessner to get your new pass. |

Fishing
Derby
A fishing derby will be held
at Glenwood Lake sometime in June 2009.
It is open to all ages. Prizes will
be awarded and refreshments will be
served. If you have any questions please
contact the Rantoul Recreation at 893-0461. |

Rantoul's
10th Annual Soap Box Derby
June 2009. Come out and watch
over 30 cars in two classes compete
for a spot in the Nationals. Races typically
begin at 9:00 am. on N. Maplewood Drive.

Sports
Adventure Camps
For boys and girls ages 7 –
12. Offered in June and July. Camps
will meet from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday
- Friday. Extended care from 7:30 –
9:00 am and 4:00 – 6:00 pm is
offered for an additional fee. Included
in each camp will be swim lessons, lunch,
and 3 to 5 various sports, field trips,
and games. A maximum of 40 participants
will be accepted each session. Fee is
$150 per child per session. Extended
Care is $30.00. |
